Bob and I are back home now, but our trip out east was a great time, and very successful! Thanks to all who came out and supported us at The Jules Poirier Lupus Fundraiser at Bridge St. Live in Collinsville, La Trattoria, The Arch Street Tavern, The Cadieux Cafe in Detroit, and our house concert in Kent Ohio!
Some news from the trip: We have two new CD’s coming out soon, which we recorded in CT, thanks to my good friend Stephen Davis! One is a live recording from The Arch Street Tavern in Hartford which I think is THE best live show recordings that I’ve ever done, we’re very excited about this one! The other is an All-Acoustic album featuring a more intimate sound with nylon string guitars and acoustic upright bass by Bill Morrison. We are very happy and excited about both CD’s the first of which will be available very soon! For now you can check out samples on the music page from the Arch St. Tavern recordings.
Another great turn of events as we met the folks from the very prestigious and respected Litchfield Jazz Festival, and were invited to play the 2014 festival!
We had a great time catching up with old friends in Grand Rapids, MI, and a great turn out at a house concert with John & Kevin Reynolds in Kent Ohio!
The final show of our tour was just a blast too with Shannon Wade (bass) and Carl Cafagna (sax) both formerly of The Hot Club of Detroit. Also joining us that night at The Cadieux Cafe in Detroit were Ed Paz (accordian) & his son Tim Paz (trumpet).
All in all, a great trip, and we sure appreciate the fans that came out to support us! Some people I’d like to thank personally are:
Jules Poirier, Butch, Laura, Pat Ryan from Bridge St. Live, Harvey Jassem WWUH Hartford, The Arch Street Tavern, Mark and crew at La Trattoria Canton CT, Andre Belaz, Bill Lezotte, Bob Bequillard Jr., and Jeff at Dynamic Auto in Canton (one of the good ones left out there!), John Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds, Iris, Shannon Wade, Carl Cafagna, Shawn & Jess Hamer, Kelly Rosa & David, Shannon Denis & her parents for housing us in Mqt., The Doghouse Pub in Marquette MI, Michael Haanela, and everyone else who supports us locally here in the Keweenaw! Love to you all!
